What states have you hunted and do you have a favorite?

I’ve hunted Alabama (home state), Georgia, and Virginia for whitetail. Colorado for elk. I don’t think I have a favorite, I just like to hunt.

New Mexico: Elk, barbary sheep, antelope, mule deer and oryx.
Alabama: Whitetail
Oklahoma: Whitetail, turkey, and antelope
Kentucky: Whitetail and turkey
Florida: Whitetail and turkey
Maine: Whitetail
Massachusetts: Whitetail and turkey
New York: Whitetail
Missouri: Whitetial
Kansas: Whitetail and turkey

I struggle picking favorites because elk hunting and whitetail hunting is something I work on year round on year round through scouting and prep.

I grew up in Colorado, but didn't start hunting until I was in college, and then hunted mule deer, elk, black bear, pronghorn antelope, and mountain lion. After I moved to Montana I continued to hunt mule deer, elk, black bear, and antelope, but then added whitetail, mountain goat, bighorn sheep, Shiras moose. and buffalo. While I was in the Army stationed in Oklahoma I hunted whitetail deer. I have also hunted whitetail deer in Illinois; caribou in Alaska; and scimitar horned oryx, Aoudad, and blackbuck in Texas; and antelope in Wyoming.

About 20 years ago, I was able to expand my hunting internationally with two hunts in Canada's Northwest Territories and another hunt in Quebec, and I will be hunting in Newfoundland this coming September. I have also done multiple hunts in South Africa, two in Mozambique, and another in Zimbabwe; a great multi-species hunt in New Zealand; and a Dagestan Tur hunt in Azerbaijan.

I also just like to hunt.

Not a huge list,

Now NM is my favorite with the variety gone.

New Hampshire - Moose Whitetail
Maine - Whitetail, partridge, moose this fall
Connecticut - Whitetail
New Jersey - Whitetail
Illinois - Whitetail
Ontario - whitetail
Montana - Mule Deer Whitetail
Rhode Island - Whitetail

My favorites are Montana and Maine. Connecticut is for filling the freezer and Mass is home state

As far as a favorite, can't really pick one. But the one state I absolutely would not go a year without hunting is here in Indiana for whitetails.

Montana
Idaho
Colorado
Wisconsin

Yukon
British Columbia
Alberta

Favorite state would be Montana. Favorite place would be Yukon.
Finally a Wisconsin....I thought EVERYONE hunted in Wisconsin:(

Wisconsin (home state) Every species available except elk
Michigan whitetail and grouse
Minnesota grouse
Saskatchewan bear
Wyoming deer

Short list, other's list are awesome. Likely many good campfire stories!

For whitetails

Florida
Georgia
Iowa
Kansas
Nebraska
Virginia

Colorado for deer(both whitetail and muleys), elk and antelope

Wyoming for antelope

This question shows how limited most of our experiences really are, and I've been hunting for 40 years. We hunt where we live, kinda eye opening.

Alaska
Florida
Georgia
NC
Colorado

Short list for me;
Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana.
So far Montana tops the favorites list for deer but i'm giving Idaho a good run now. My biggest bull came from Idaho.
