Charley Crockett is a badass mf. Been listening to him for a while now.I have felt this way for years! Here’s the best channel I’ve found for new country:
Here’s the best ‘reviewer’ I’ve found:

Charlie Crockett restored my faith in modern county music:
Good list...King has a good voiceSee this is why I like the Western Music Genre. Nobody messes with it. It is what it is. Cows, horses, dogs, the great outdoors and small towns. Usually family friendly. You can figure these singers would be able to ride a horse.

Yeah Ken, just slap a few dirt road social cues into the lyrics and plug it in to the formula:Processed cheese with a drawl produced by accountants.
TheThank you Ken---and--it is true ! I was country when country wasn't cool
Also, the song---Willie and Waylon and me--touches on several musical identities and makes statements that I can relate to.
I do remember my grandmother telling me back in the 1960's that Dolly will never be as successful as Patsy Cline. Elvis was the devil and I am not joking, people actually thought he was going to be the ruination of the young people who listened to his music. I am possibly the only one here who remember the singing cowboys and for the record I prefer the Highwaymen to Roy and Gene
I have a question for you fellows. Were the Dixie Chicks good or bad ? Would they have lasted longer if they had stayed out of politics and just sang or they were not good enough to have lasting success ?
Bob Wills would be proud of that country swing...
