I make a wicked special deluxe pizza

So.. there was a time I'm gonna say between the age of 20 and 23 for me when I used to hit it pretty hard. I'd close the bar down every Friday and Saturday night. Usually several other nights built Fri and Saturday were a given. I'd get home around 2:30 or 3 and throw a pizza in the oven pass out about 90 seconds later waking up hours later to a slight case of carbon monoxide poisoning and a severe red bull/vodka hangover and a smoke alarm going off. To find a pizza identical to that one in the oven and a house half full of smoke. Throw it in the garbage and off to work or to the farm I'd go miserable. The best part was when the next morning was like groundhog day only when I went to throw Sundays pizza out I'd open the garbage to see yesterday's hockey puck ass pizza staring at me from the night before. "Son of a bitch!" That went on for a long time until I my now wife introduced me to a thing called a pizza oven with a timer. Decided to keep her after that. Looking back at my early twenties its a Miracle I'm alive and or didn't kill anyone else. Dumb.

Turkey pot pie.
Big pot pie guy here, but i have to ask, do you add cottage cheese to your pot pie? I never did, but the first time I made pot pie for my lady friend, now wife, she asked where’s the cottage cheese? A big helping of creamy, cold cottage cheese on top of that piping hot pot pie is life changing.

The wife made a much easier pot pie recipe the other night that was great. You just cook all the filling like you normally would then pour it over biscuits. Delicious.

Thats exactly what happened in this instance. Shut down the cannery that night

elk flat iron* with rosemary and garlic
grouse pot pie
pho with elk bone broth

*I tend to hit elk in the scapula, so having a flat iron steak is much more of a treat than tenderloin or blackstrap.

Lamb burger….

The backstrap sandwiches

Make up your rub I use brown sugar, cayenne pepper, garlic salt and pepper, onion powder and onion flakes. Smoke the backstrap whole til desired temp. Rest and slice thin. Serve on kaiser rolls and drizzle whatever your favorite vinegar based bbq sauce is over the top. Very simple but it's delicious and the rub makes for a sweet/hot combo.
