I was on call all night so couldn't drink. Made salmon tartare and French onion soup for supper and we watched a movie with the kids. I was in bed by 10, early enough to get woken up when the pager went off for the drunks who were going home and falling asleep in snow banks at -45°C with the windchill...

Took the pup out at 5:30 am for her first potty break in snow (not much snow) but she was impressed. Made some Grands Cinnamon rolls and coffee & some dinner rolls for carving ham sliders.

New Year’s Day TX finally got a cold front. I watched the trailers at work slowly freeze and ice on the inside. One guy slipped and busted his hip. I imagine those in northern states are accustomed to it.
