What are you currently reading?

Just finished Sapiens....A Brief History of Humankind. One of the most thought provoking books I have ever read. Just starting Crazy Horse and Custer by Stephen Ambrose. Not super motivated by it. May have to pick one of the selections mentioned in this thread.

Just finished - Thank you for my service by Mat Best.

As someone who does not have a military background, I found it interesting.

Road to Huertgen : Forest in Hell by Lt. Paul Boesch. 28,000 American casualties from September - December 1944. A battlefield encompassing 1300 square miles of entrenched Germans. My second reading of this book. Riveting.

As someone who moved from Virginia to Wyoming, there was only so long I could put off reading "The Virginian."

Just finished reading "Man and Wildlife n Arizona" 1824-1865.
Pretty good read....chronicles the making of wagon trails and the wildlife
the 49ers had to contend with on the way to Cal.Mainly Grizzly Bears,
Wolves,Mountain Lions and Jaguars. All but Wolves and Mtn. Lions are
gone from Az.Most prolific animal was the Gambel's Quail. Most folks would
have starved to death if not for Quail, Antelope and Sucker Fish.
Elk were few and far between back in the 1800's. 🔥
