Wet montana opener

I got out at noon! Went straight to the local grocery store and filled my yeti with another case of lattes and more pickle juice!… fueled up and got some oreo’s. Made it back to the camper too! Time to get western tomorrow and burn some boot leather.

About 3 weeks before the opener, it had rained pretty steady for 3 days. I was doing pre-season scouting. Went over to the Smith River WMA and then I realized what Montana mud can do to your truck. At one point the truck ass-end was moving sideways in 4-wheel drive. I had bought Toyo Open Country AT3s on my 2500HD and had a realization I better be careful where I go during the season. You really need true mudder tires in Montana. And getting that mud off is quite the job at the self-serve car wash. I'm sure I will take home to Florida a 5 gal bucket of Montana as a souvenir!!!
