Almost got stuck on the way out yesterday. Also almost slid off the road several times... in 4 wheel drive pretty much pinned. Decent pucker factor. Another hunter didn't want to risk it and left his truck up at the trailhead - walked all the way back to the gravel road miles away. The action was really good though, should've had a really nice bull but it turned into a fire drill. Didn't feel right about how things were going down when I finally had him in my scope. Couldn't stay dry and more importantly couldn't keep my optics dry... Between that and the bad visibility it felt like a bad shot given the situation. So I didn't take it. It was a great adventure with my older brother

Paid as in. The pack out. Was the most miserable pack i ever did. Rain non stop since friday 5pm. Mud caked on boots whole time. 2 mile pack turned ugly fast. Public land though
