that is ridiculously better than any other dam removal I can think so. Neither the Elwah nor White Salmon were anywhere near that so quickly.

The former Iron Gate dam had a hatchery facility there. I wonder if that is contributing?

And while the Klamath fish numbers have absolutely been declining, it was still supporting some decent runs. I think it was 2012 that my uncle and I had a 50 steelhead day.

Would that be adult steelhead or the half-pounders?

Few half pounders. Many 1-2 pounders. If I recall correctly the one in the photo was like 3.5 or 3.75 lbs and was the biggest of the day for us.

But I've never known the middle Klamath to produce fish much bigger than that. Likely more accurately, I don't know how to catch them.

Yeah that one in the photo is a nice one. The half pounder phenomena is a pretty interesting life history
