Weekend coyote hunting contest

A friend and I entered a coyote contest over the weekend, hosted by the National Wild Turkey Federation. Something like 73 people entered. 15 coyotes were killed in total.

I killed three and my friend missed two. That was over a day and a half (the contest was open Fri 12:01AM-Sun 1:00PM but I had to work Fri). We made around fifteen sets and called in five coyotes, a few coons and a young Great Horned Owl that I eventually coaxed in to land on the ground a few feet in front of me.

I ended up winning $150 and a bottle of Jaegermeister.
