Yes and no. Like many other factors on accuracy, it can lead to less or have no effect. Really depends on the diameter of the throat, the leade, and whether the bullet is entering the rifling straight or not. There are some great shooting WBYs out there.Does the longer jump to the lands yield a decrease in accuracy? Or is there no effect at all? Thanks
Generally you would want less just so it's not a factor, but it's not necessarily a bad thing. Especially in a hunting rifle. It would not be a reason for me to avoid a WBY chambering.
You do have to be careful on custom rifles in WBY rounds though. Some people have them chambered without the freebore which is fine if reloading but you would not want to fire factory rounds in those chambers.
