Waterfowl, let’s see them!

Second to last day of the season. I made it out for an afternoon hunt. I'm pretty much just targeting pintails at this point. Thankfully, they have been cooperating. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Finished with my heaviest pintail of the year. A full pound heavier than my bird from yesterday. Had a much better season than I deserved with some really beautiful birds.

Season is over here is western Montana.
I enjoy watching them come in at sunset.

The last two days my 12 year old son and I have had some fun.
My truck said 6 degrees on the way to hunt today. We found a small body of water the ducks have been keeping open while everything else besides the river is frozen. Drake killed his first pintail today. Exciting for both of us. Pups first year of duck hunting and she's doing great. Busting through ice and all. Have spent most of my hunts with my favorite hunting buddy, my son.

Last hunt of the year with my two oldest grandsons and it wasn't a disappointment!

Oh, we got some mallards too!

Last bird of the season for me. When the sun is shining and the limit is one a day but youre in "pintail heaven" you make sure you pick the nicest one out of hundreds
