I see your point. I bet that landowner has put up with too many A-holes hunting that line and trying to take advantage of a known risk on their part. We have people harass the animals so much, the fields get torn up by large herds, the fences get torn up, and costs man hours and money to fix. They try to doit just before daybreak when they think no one's watching. Worse case, he should have had warden dispatch the animal and deliver to a food bank.My point about distance is that it doesn't change what a POS that rancher is for not ending suffering. He alone could have ended it ......plain and simple. There is zero justification for that.
