Caribou Gear Tarp

An interesting story and perspective

No surprises here.

My private war with Hornady is longstanding. It began when I wrote them a letter saying I thought their "Get Loaded with Hornady!" ad campaign irresponsibly aligned drunkeness and handloading. I got a snarky letter back telling me to get over it.

Well I haven't. I have a long memory. They will never see another dime from me.

There is only one piece of "red" gear on my bench. I think their case trimmer is a great design. ( I painted it RCBS green) No other product they make stands out above the pack. Ammo, components, or tools. NONE.

Their only purpose for me any more is fire-forming loads.

Every piece of Hornady brass I find in the field goes in the melt bucket to be made into ingots. Every empty Hornady ammo box I pick up at the range goes in the burn barrel. I won't even insult my handloads by putting them in a red box.

My gun safe and loading storage cabinets look like Nascar. You can bet there isn't one Hornady sticker on any of them.

Sounds like Buffalo Bore should be mad at John Linebaugh, not Hornady. And that the ammunition manufacturing business operates like every other industry in the world.
