Good movie...bordered on chick flic love story...music & acting saves it.

I thought it was extremely well done. Being a big Johnny Cash fan, I thought it was almost haunting how much the actor who played JOhnny Cash sounded like him and acted like him (manerisms, etc.). I thought it was one of the better movies ive seen lately.

Yup, Reese deserved her Oscar. Good portrayal of Johnny, too. I talked with him in the summer of 1970.

I was disappointed; I thought the movie was just "ok"......... sugar coated versions of real events........and what the hell happened to the near death experience Johnny had when he crawled into the cave?....wasn’t in the movie.

He did a good job on the acting and fell short on the singing......... Johnny is a hard act to follow and almost impossible act to mimic.
