So… cervids definitely will eat meat. I wonder if there are actually purely vegetarian game animals.

Grass carp are about the closest I can think of. But they eat millions of incidental zooplankton. So… cervids definitely will eat meat. I wonder if there are actually purely vegetarian game animals.

I don't know and YesFollow up question; what about the racoon, aka trash panda, that's been messing around my garbage bin? My two kids aren't big on eating veggies much to my chagrin, as a self-confessed veggie lover. This leads to a considerable amount of veggies going in the trash (I know, I should compost) and therefore feeding said racoons.
What would their VD index be and should I start hunting/eating them?
Kansas dad, when the Great Pecan Wars begin, I will know you are with the good guys(And if you don’t pronounce it as pe-cahns, you are just plain wrong!)
Muskox right, because they just lick the green stuff off rocks I thinkSo… cervids definitely will eat meat. I wonder if there are actually purely vegetarian game animals.

They wait at the bottom of a cliff and treat it like a buffalo jump lolI bet they chomp on lemmings
That's pretty ingenious. Holding a dandelion in it's mouth to attract Tardigrades. Kind if like one of those fly trap plants.
If they eat one frog they’re screwed though. On a serious note about bears... Georgia DNR says Georgia's southern black bear population (we have three distinct bear populations that are isolated from each other) has a diet comprised of 95ish% plant/vegetable matter.
Maybe they are the true champions of the VD index
Imagine a plant loving bear eating a carnivore like a frogIf they eat one frog they’re screwed though.
