How do you know you'll get the tag without the draw yet?

They added a conservation tag this year for the unit, so i ended up with it from an auction. I figure its going to be my one chance to hunt goat in my lifetime. I've never hunted for them before, so i'll keep my expectations low. I have alot of preperation to do in the next 5 months.

Are you going guided or DIY?
The proposed tags this year took a drop.
Hopefully the bio can provide some good info.
I'm no expert but have spent time in the unit and would be happy to answer questions if you have any
