Uptick in used guns?

I spoke with my lgs the other day about both trades and consignment. They said they are out of the trade business unless it’s something special and have even gotten pickier about what they take on consignment. They have a lot of rifle inventory, especially in the $1500-$3000 range that I’d suspect will be on the racks for a long time
Hell of a way to get a deal in 6 months.

This has me hopeful for a specific vintage gun. I've been looking to get a pre-war Marlin Model 90 in 16 gauge to match one my dad has. They doubled in price when the stimulus bucks got dispersed, so here's hoping that trend reverses and a few come available for a decent price.

Otherwise- I guess I'd like to get a .300 (or other large caliber) with a supressor to fill the "high end" not covered by my .308. As much as the 6.8 Western and other new .280+ calibers intrigue me, there's a lot to be said for the more common rounds with better ammo availability and better prices.
