Tunes you have heard live. (Friday tunes)

No, we did not make it to Woodstock, but we were at the Monterey Festival in 1967. Redding, Bryds, Simon/Garfunkel, Mamas and Papas, who, and Hendrix

We also went to several Eagle and Stones concert. Since we entertained clients in Las Vegas we saw the headliners there several times.

The best way to answer and show Elvis's love for his audience AND the love the audience had for Elvis -if someone can find---" Elvis-Las Vegas Show-1970-Love Me Tender" and post it. Watch it all the way thru. Not a lot of singing, but the interaction between Elvis and the audience speaks for itself. They loved him and he loved them

Surprisingly I was not on the Elvis bandwagon when he first started recording and was disappointed in his life style toward the end of his life. Vegas was a snapshot in time without a doubt, I am aware of that. BUT, it was a "snapshot " I enjoyed.

Big 3 bucket list….logistics, expense, and motivation…not likely
Clapton
Stones
Eagles
Good ones for sure. It would be hard for me to narrow it down to three: maybe Eagles, Elvis, Linda, but I loved The Highway Men and enjoyed not just their songs but their interaction with each other on stage.

I have never seen an entertainer, do that :love:. Concert's I have been to have a 20 foot vacant space between the first row of fans and the stage, with several bodyguards in that area.

Some funny moments, one that would be criticized in the pronoun thread today, but the other ones were hilarious. The older lady who said to Elvis "this is my granddaughter", the lady when he was going back on stage, 'Elvis, kiss me" and he did. The girl that gave him a towel to wipe away the sweat on his face and chest, said "thank you" when he handed it back after using it. I bet she still has it. The fact that the crowd was respectful and he did it without bodyguards ---WOW, thanks for posting that

Also was that a real instrument he used in the very beginning or was it a toy ? When he returned to the stage--that smile, million dollar smile, it is easy to see why April and the other women loved him.

The wife said she would like to see Eric Church some time. I like him too, and think he would put on a good show. Pendleton is the closest place he is coming this summer. Date won't work so will keep looking at his tour schedule.

I also preferred Meisner and Felder...same with the Allmans...as great as Warren Haynes is, the hole left by Duane could not be filled.
I jumped on to say Happy Fathers Day, but like a moth to a flame, I am on the music thread ;)

I am currently in a situation that puts me contact with several middle 20's men and women and when it comes to music it has been fun and funny

One young lady ask if Don ( Eagles ) was the only lead singer who played the drums and they always add " in the old days"

"No, there has been several, but also a female did so" and they were all curious, so I told them to look up the Carpenters. "Oh wow, she can really sing ":)

The other one they were having a hard time getting there heads around was when I told them "The Beach Boys" included a girl on one tour. When they ask what happen to her, I told them to look up, Captain and Tennille.
This was another clip that they could not believe AND agreed with Mrs Elkduds, Randi and I. ;)

fun conversations about music with them, but their pronunciation of and laughing at, the name of the man who sang "after the lovin". was fun. He was easy on the eyes and filled up the Las Vegas casino show rooms in the 1980's Anyone here old enough to remember him ?
