It appears the horn is deformed just above the core. It would be interesting to know how the injury/deformity happened.

Thanks for the pictures. That sure looks like an injury deformity to me. Did you have trouble getting the horn off the base when you cleaned it up?

Very nice trophy. I'd find my trigger finger twitching instantly if I was stalking it.

I don't think it's entirely injury, it's a little difficult to see but the entire horn tilts out a different angle than the other side. It may be the the extra tilt factored into the injury to the prong area.
