This 75lb knucklehead was killed two days after Christmas at a little over 60 yards with a Benelli .12 ga and 00 buckshot. Travis killed it as it was crossing a dirt road on a dog drive, with one perfect double lung shot, and then he finished it with a .22 cap from his Taurus Tracker.

Sorry about the picture, but I'm not a very good photographer, and the camera isn't much, either.

Yep, I was proud of him and the shot. When the deer hit these dirt roads, fire lines, and two tracks, they usually have the afterburners turned on.........especially when there are hounds on their tails!

Hey Ron! Tell Travis it's about time he started adding to the Thomas larder and not having you do all the work to feed that young pup!!!

Mike, he usually manages to kill one or two every year. He'd do better if he'd sit with that 7mm-08 in a tower stand, but he rather hear the dogs run. This past season, his NJROTC events also cut into his hunting times, but considering he wants a career in the military, he doesn't mind. He's on the rifle team, so he's going to quite a few competitive shoots and he's got so many ribbons it's gotten to the point that the left side of his uniform shirt tends to sag slightly!

I wish his Nana was still alive to see how well he's turned out......which is a hell of a sight better than her kids have!!!!!!!
