First off this isn't a woe is me post just something to pass the time.

I am curious how many had their plans to travel stopped cold because of the COVID-19 Virus.

Am two years into prepping for bucket list trip to Mount Everest Base Camp. Have been sweating it out in the gym 6 days a week, lost 75 lbs. Have spent time in Beartooth's and down to New Mexico for some altitude trekking to see how my body can acclimate to higher altitudes. Was scheduled to leave Bozeman International on May 9th to fly to Kathmandu via Seattle and Dubai. So far my trekking company has offered to push that part of the trip back to May of 2021 and the airlines are working with me and my travel insurance company to figure out that whole mess.

Anyone want to share their stories.

Well done sir!! I had a work trip to DC get cancelled. Hope you get things worked out and make it to base camp!!

That's wild, my coworker was supposed to be on a plane to Nepal on Friday for 3 weeks of mountaineer/exploring. He's fighting like hell to get his plane tickets refunded as they only want to reschedule.

Nothing for me is officially canceled though things are pointing toward that for a couple concerts, our POW bear hunt, and my folk's anniversary party (dad is immuno-compromised and both are over 60).

Looking sharp Nemont!

Had a May trip to MI scrapped. Wife's grandma is turning 90. We all felt it best to postpone until the crazy is over. We want Grandma to make it to 95! Other than that, just work trips scrubbed. Still looking at some camping trips starting in May around unincorporated public lands where maintaining 600 feet between people is the norm.

My wife and I were married on Leap Day. We decided that we wouldn't do much for the typical anniversary, but would take a big trip every 4 years. This was the first time leap day has come around since getting married. We had a trip to Jamaica cut short after 3 days, and are now Quarantined at home. My wife did a ton of research for that trip and the one day we actually got to see the sights was with a tour guide we hired. My wife new just about everything the guy did on that excursion.

Had a spring break trip planned for April to take the family to the St. Johns River in FL. Pulled the plug on it this week. Hope to reschedule for the fall or next spring.

Looking good.

I had an international trip get cancelled. Swapped things around and made the best out of it, but we were out some money... definitely a bummer.

Maybe it wasn't intentional, but camouflaging yourself with that fish made me have to look multiple times for the weight loss comparison. Good job on the dedicated plan preparing for Everest, hopefully you can get it all rescheduled to your liking. Just curious, was the weight loss all from the gym work or dieting also? Asking for ...... a friend who needs to lose weight, but sucks at dieting.🙄

I quit drinking all alcohol, dropped all sugar (no candy, desserts, ice cream etc etc) from diet. I put a gym in my man cave/garage and I am in it at least an hour a day 6 days a week. Lift on Sat, Mon, Thurs., cardio or hiking on Sun., Tues, Fri. Wednesday are rest days.

I like intermittent fasting/time restricted eating and have been doing that since August of 2018. I never want to eat breakfast anyway. Three days a week I only eat between 6 pm and 8 pm.

I tried Keto and hated it. If that works for you then do it. I truly believe that a person has to find what works for them. The challenge I had was that I needed to get in far better physical condition to be trekking at altitude 4 to 6 hours a day so getting into Mountain Tough and other programs was necessary.

Number one thing I learned 90% of weight loss and working out is mental and not physical.

Good for you! You're looking strong and healthy!

The wife was going to visit her Grandma in Florida and I was going to fly to Red Lodge, via Billings, to check on my Grandpa. They are each in their 80s, needless to say we cancelled our trips! Now its a staycation with government enforcement.

Great work Nemond. Hope your travel plans get sorted. Nepal is an awesome place.
New Zealand is in total lock down and I’ve had the following trips cancelled - red roar 2x and sika roar.

Next cancellation will probably be my fallow rut hunt in May. That leaves just my Tahr rut hunt in June.

Hoping to still make WY and ID in Oct.
