Todays the big day ! Surgery ....

Best of luck! Make sure to continue along with the Physical Therapy! A lot of people only get so many PT sessions built into their insurance plan and when those dry up, they do not go into PT anymore and stop. Make sure to keep it up - it will help immensely.

Glad it went well!

Curious, did you have any previous indication that your shoulder was about to go? Or was it from an acute injury?

It went in stages. First day tore my bicep tendon in years ago . It never healed right. Then in October, I tore something, but it was too close to my hunting season so I tried to live with it. Then in October, I tore the whole thing completely loose. So it was actually three injuries.

One of the therapies I remember the most was to gradually reach up until I could get full extension over my head. I started doing it in the shower with hot water running on it and sliding my hand up the wall. I'd increase the pressure as I was able , like washing the shower wall. I told the therapist about it and it became the "wash the wall" exercise.

My wife has had both shoulders freeze or lock up and that was part of her therapy , I remember it well.....

My biggest recommendation is to talk to your surgeon to get an ice therapy machine. I've had 3 shoulder surgeries including complete rebuild. I had ice therapy machine that virtually eliminated the need for opioids. I have a Breg Polar Wave Cold Compression machine. It time compresses at same time cooling. I still use it when shoulder is sore. Plus you can get wraps for knee, etc. You will use this religiously! You will love it!

Yeah my wife bought that and a bunch of other stuff . This surgeon has it all for sale on his web site , the same prize as Amazon.

OK I'm at home typing one finger lefthanded  , right hand and arm is Pink Floyd'd ...THIS place was really good and I'm glad I waited for him .
My EKG was iffy so they took the time to check with my cardiologist and make sure he approved . This of course upset their schedule but everyone was so cool about , even the Dr came out to say chill , we will get there .

Now I'm wondering about the PVC , maybe that has been my problem all along ? EKG showed heart beating 80 times , but because of the PVC it was actually only beating 40 . Does that make sense ?
