Time for a change.....

Do they make a diet chocolate milk shake? If they do, you can get a bigger burger and supersize your fries with equal calorie intake.

YAh.. the holidays were Crappy to me. Actualy they were good, but goodies I didn't stop eating, Yep, All my FatA$$ fault.

I started last week atthe gym. I'm starting slow though.... You know, like walking to the gym from the truck. Getting some Water. Then leaving.....

Next week I'll step it up to walking around looking at the machines !!!!! ;)

Damn Moosie I thought I was a fat sumbitch at 222#'s. Oh wait, my playing weight is 190#'s so I am. Thanks for making me feel a little better though. :D Oh well, I quit chewing in October, and it's a new year, I got a new job; time to get all of our chit together. Do we need another HT fatass-off?

stop eating, that's the secret. Hard to do though.

Me "Stop Eating" is like you "No shooting game farm animals". Hard to do

Week 3 into going to the gym.... Haven't changed eating yet, thats down the road. I'm not doing a Fat off. Jsut a little working out more. Eating jsut as much. Feels good working out and playing some Basketball.

Feeling better.

I feel for your pain Fatty.... I put on 11 pounds since November. I too have been going to the gym 2-3 times a week for a month now, but not doing any cardio yet, just firming up my breasts.

I did the body-for-life program about 8 yrs ago and it worked like a charm (lost 35 lbs in 12 wks). The cool thing about it is you only need about 30 min a day 5 days/wk. and to stick to the diet. The diet part is pretty easy since you get to eat six times a day and there's no counting calories, weighing food, etc. For someone short on time its perfect and its impossible to get bored on the cardio part of it. You can get all the basic nutrition/exercise info from their website:http://www.bodyforlife.com

I've put back on the weight I lost since I injured my knee. It's getting better after having surgery on Dec 18th, but all the stairs in my house are killing me. I do much better at work than at home.

I'm getting back on the bikes - regular bike and exercise bike - and that is helping with the knee and with losing the weight. All thejunk food over the holidays didn't help, either. ;)

Well, eat less calories, if you must eat, that's what they say.

Like celery, I heard it takes up calories if we eat that.

Wow, with fishing, 200 lb people burn maybe 350 cal./hour, so a beer like LaBatt is about 50 cal./100ml. If we drink less than 700 ml/hour, we're ahead.

That's .7*1.06 quarts, about 3/4 of a quart per hour while fishing to stay even. That's like 3 cups per hour, or a beer every half hour. More than that, the input is greater than the output. Less than that, the input is less than the output and we might loose weight. The catch is, we can't eat anything. That's not too good.

Its an engineering problem right? Input and output and we want the input to be less than the output to loose weight.

How many calories do we have to burn to loose a pound?

How many calories do we have to eat to gain a pound?

I'm thinking they are the same, but how many is it?

Generally speaking it is about 3500 calories to either gain or lose a pound of fat. Since everyone metabolizes calories at a different rate, their weight gain or loss for that matter will be different.

Sitting behind a computer all day doesn't allow me to burn off many calories, I can guarantee you that. Caloric intake depends largely on your lifestyle: sedentary, moderate, active, etc. Basically, take in less calories than your body metabolizes and you lose weight. Intake more and you get Moosie! :D
