We got back from Wyoming on sunday and I didn't score(that tunes getting old). I didn't see an elk. My 15 year old niece did. One shot and a dead spike. Moreammo left his video camera on and killed the battery so no vid. A real shame too cause he called it back to her at least twice. Another guy got a 4x5 and one got a cow.

I feel bad for two of the guys who haven't got an elk yet. I took them to all the spots I saw elk last year but no luck. Must have been that damm full moon, early snow, wolves, bears, heat wave, elk low,elk high.... :D :D Okay I'll admit it, I don't know what I'm doing! :)

I did get to meet Elkhunter and his wife. Hope to come out this summer and get a chance to get together again.

And some people make it look like they are a Dime a Dozen... Curse them basterds !!!! ;)

A trip, even if unsuccessfull, is still a god tip if you ook at it that way.

thanx for the info Don.

very true Moosie and a good trip it was-can't come home every year with meat and horns or people get suspicious---chris

As I told you in the PM, it has been a slow year here this year. Hope to see you over the summer or during hunting season next year.

Here's a picture of Shannon with her first elk.

You are probably right. There's a little fork on each side. I called it a spike because I haven't heard of a 2x2, western count. Here in Pa it would be a four point. She could of took any elk with her lic and she took the only elk she saw.
