Just got done testing the 250 and 300 with the new lots of BH209 and Federal 209 primers out of a CVA accura v2.
The 250 didn’t seem to want to seal and I couldn’t get them up to velocity. They were sized properly and loaded with the same force as the 300.
By weight
84g = 1671 fps
91g = 1870 fps
I quit wasting powder here as a sabot 250g was
87g = 2030 fps
92g = 2182 fps
Now the 300g worked well.
77g = 1844 fps
84g = 1871 fps
91g = 1988 fps
95g = 2051 fps
This rifle is a cloverleaf rifle at slower velocity 1700 to 1850, above 1850 it opens up. I shot groups with 91g and 95g. 95 had the best group at 1.5” at 100. Which is good for this particular rifle.
