The movie really did have a huge impact.I wonder if Taylor Sheridan gets the cognitive dissonance, that his characters, from 1923 and Yellowstone, at least, are supporters of traditional land use, yet by romanticizing Montana he has led to many of the changes they decry.
Supposedly Redford felt guilt about making A River Runs Through It when he saw the changes it wrought.
