Just a follow up , in order to get my elk processed in time for it to make the trip back with me ,The Guide actually had to take it to his place and process it for me.
He raises pigs and is all set up to process animals .
The two of us working together, we whipped it right out.
This crew is so accommodating here I truly cannot say enough about how well I’ve been treated .

Congratulations on your bull! Sorry to hear about the shoulder. Hope you can get it fixed up. Next time on an outfitted hunt, let the young pups do the heavy lifting!
As far as the altitude sickness, next time talk to your doctor about some Diamox to start taking before you leave. It can definitely help. I had never taken it before a mountain hunt, but decided to do it this year because I was hunting at 10,000 to 11,000 ft. I took it, plus stayed hydrated and had no problems.

I asked my doctor about it last year , she refused, based on my fatty liver .
But yes , it was stupid on my part , trying to help .They do it every day , I was just in the way .
