CheesePizza has picked up @MtnElk and headed back to meet recovery. CheesePizza had to be going way over the speed limit to get there that fast. He passed the turn off for the truck before the recovery team got there. He was duck hunting when he received the call this morning.

what a life to live where one can be so free on a thursday that he goes duck hunting in the morning and then on a whim drives across the state into the high hills to pick up a guy he doesn't even know whose truck is stuck.

i gotta plan the calendar like 3.5 weeks in advance if wanna just $*)Q!#@$ check zero on my rifle for crying out loud

He doesn’t live in denver. He lives close and his days off are Wednesday/Thursday. He’s just that good of a dude to leave his duck hunt early on his day off and go help someone out.

Even bigger fan of cheesePizza literally and figuratively

man, how much more adventure can @Dsnow9 and @MtnElk manage to pack into an elk season before it's mid-October? I feel like I'm just pretending to be committed to my own elk hunting at this point...

I'm pulling for this to wrap up with an elk in the bag, there has certainly been enough effort put in that @MtnElk should be due for some good karma!

@MtnElk is out and headed into town to buy some chains and get back on that horse. The text I sent him was not that kind. Let’s give this guy some support and encouragement to get back out there and kill his first elk. He should get into service in about an hour.
there deserves to be a little tough love sent for a SAR call for a stuck truck, that said, @MtnElk you are working your way through all the things that can derail a hunt with a quickness, it truly gets way easier, just keep going! you are invested enough now that quitting is going to hurt way worse than sticking it out, and the harder it is the bigger the reward at the end, elk or no elk, I'm pulling for you!

@MtnElk

I'll get my old phone out and find the picture of my 4runner slid down the bank with a broken axle for you. I didn't get the chance to make up for that one. Missed a buck a few hours before I got stuck on the last day of season..

Go get that elk. I don't think I've seen one in a new Tundra yet.
