Congrats @Elk Chaser. That's a goat of many lifetimes.

I talked to a friend last week, an official B&C scorer, who measured a goat taken not too far from the goats Oak and Elk Chaser shot. The goat brought to him last week scores right at 57". An amazing 12" long with bases over 6". Should be interesting to see where it ends up when the official drying period is up. Wish I had pictures, but he didn't have any to share. I trust his story. He's measured a lot of big Alaska goats.

This part of Alaska produces some incredible goats for those willing to endure the conditions. I just don't think I'm tough enough to hunt there.
I actually heard rumor of that goat myself, and may have seen a picture although I can't confirm as it was just a brief glance at a phone screen/text message.
