Have you seen Sam Elliot in the 1st Justified series? Impossible to ignore his bald upper lip, he even sounded different without his lip ermine. Hard to watch.

This thread is hilarious. You don’t have to have a 300 win mag to kill an elk. I do think the 6.5 man bun is very overrated but a lot of animals have fallen to it. That being said, I do thoroughly enjoy making fun of it.

I have a 6.5 creed and a 6.5 PRC. Both good guns. The 6.5 prc now wears one of my Swarovski scopes. That means it’s one of my favorites. Took it off my 7mm mag and I have had some good times with that gun.

My wife killed her first two deer with a 6.5, I used it to kill a few as well but I normally prefer the 243. I bought a 7mag for elk though. Different tools for the tool box. I’ve killed piles of deer with a 223 and 243. Different terrains and different animals require different tools; but I’m not into yelling at clouds or really care what others use.

Understandable. But I don't think anybody chooses to enter the RUM side of life because of the extended barrel life.

Steve built it for bullet testing. You'd be surprised how many rounds a .300 will take. mtmuley
