Thawing Processed Meat

Unless its for actual hamburgers, microwave is fine. Why would it being cooked a little on the edges hurt meat that will be seasoned and mashed up? It all gets cooked the same eventually...

And like someone mention, if its frozen a little in the middle just keep cooking and breaking off the thawed parts.

Or throw the whole frozen bag in a insta pot and boom! (wife would have to answer on cook time)

For steak, chops, and fish, we try to freeze thin to thaw in water, I don't like those to cook on the edge in the micro.
 
Package your burger in vac seal bags, then smash flat before sticking in freezer so they stack nice and take up less space.
The flat packages thaw in thirty minutes or so in a bowl of warm water.
 
1-1.5 lbs in vac seal bag, 3/4" thick or so...the bags then stack in freezer nicely. Thaw it in the sink, fill sink w cold water drop bag in it will thaw it in 20 minutes or so.

We do this for 'last minute' tacos all the time. You're actually cooking the meat in the frying pan, not the microwave, and it comes out very good.
