Tell me what you think

LOL...You guys are funny. Of coarse I'm talking about the big 4 point in the bottom pic, not the little 3 point in the top pic. I have shot a 150" 3 point before, but the 3 point in the top pic doesn't compare. Dad and I did get another look at the one in the bottom pic and he easily went 160". I'm talking about gross score here and 25" outside spread....Just thought I'd clear things up.

P.s.

I'm guessing this one is a 175" deer. Tell me what you think? The one on the left.

Here's a few dinks. This is the smallest deer I've shot in 6 years, just came down to the last day.

Yep, we're on the same page. Just think in 3-4 years them bucks would have had some horns on them. Looks like a damn fun time though. I don't see any empty beer cans in the back, did you remove them for the photo op?

Meat in the freezer and bone for the wall. It doesn't get much better than that. Congrats to you and your buddies!

Bambi, I was just trying to stir the pot. Figured if I couldn't rile up the houndsman by telling him his dogs were pussies, I'd tell mr. BigBuxMT his deer had milk on thier lips. :D I need to shoot an elk to take this edge off.

But the best part is the fact that the picture with all the dead critters was after his post about the "I second that". :D

Bambi- What I am saying is that I agree with greenhorn, these are all small bucks, but the three of us are brothers and the other is my 80 year old uncle. My littlest brother broke his back real bad and can't walk much, it's the biggest buck he's got. I got a little trigger happy on the last day. Another rack to throw in the corner but oh well it was a fun hunt.

Just givn' ya a hard time... I've accepted the fact that I'll likely have to settle for a deer like the ones you guys shot, because thats Montana 'standard issue'... The state needs to either change the season dates or issue permits by unit. Nice going on the truck load!

MT has some nice deer you just need to get out of your truck and do some leg work. What is wrong with the season dates. One of the only states to hunt the rut and PS that is when the big boys come out.
Bambi if you dont like are season dont hunt it.
Bigbux good job on the deer!!!!!!
You got to do what you got to do. You will eat good..

Yep MT has nice deer... just not many of them, because PS thats when all the 3.5-4.5 year olds get whacked... Hard to have big deer when they have to try and survive a 5 week hunting season.

MT can't hold a candle to what comes out of WY, CO, ID, or Alb... Why???

I have to agree with Bambi, but you are correct as well. That is when the big boys come out, but also the same time those 140 and 150's get whacked well before their potential.

You are also correct if you get out of your truck big boys can be found. That being said, some nice bucks fall every year to some over-weight bubba road hunter with the opportunity to shoot a buck out the window while it has it's nose up some does ass.

Hopefully Wyoming starts some January winter range hunts. Seems like that is the best time to find the "big boys" and they are all pretty much concentrated.;)

EDIT- Sorry big bux, sounds like a good hunt witht he family.

I agree with you guys and if I didn't need the meat I wouldn't have shot the one I shot. I haven't hunted the rut in about 10 years and I don't think MT should be allowed to hunt the rut because of the road hunters. Believe me I put plenty of miles on the "flip-flops" before I shot the one I did. Took lots of pics of some 130-140 class deer. There is a lot of potential where I hunt and next year should be awesome cause 95% of the people won't walk and with the snow this year you couldn't get there without walking.
