I was referring to the war on drugs in the 80's. That wasn't derogatory, too young for the 80's and your background on the drugs/ law enforcement end of it.US businesses brace for Trump's tariffs on Canada, Mexico and China to drive up costs
President Donald Trump on Saturday imposed tariffs on imports from Canada, Mexico and China — America’s three biggest trading partners.apnews.com
Estimates are it will add about $1200 per year to your consumer bill.
I'll take it if I don't get taxed on OT anymore, . In all seriousness everyone in this thread needs to get out of the house, myself included. We have no snow at the moment and the ice is a little sketchy for ice fishing...US businesses brace for Trump's tariffs on Canada, Mexico and China to drive up costs

No kidding. It's exhausting how many thrive on it, both sides.I’m tired of living in unprecedented times.
Maybe belongs in a different thread, but I remember when protecting PII was a thing...I also voted for “none of the above”, because I don’t like the “burn it all down” mentality, but also think DEI had run amok based on my experience at work, and immigration has become a significant security issue, based on what I hear from my BP friends and neighbors.
However, I find it shocking that folks seem completely fine with the fact that an unelected oligarch with no official capacity has now taken sole access and total control of our nation’s entire financial system with zero oversight. IMO, there is no legitimate reason for this to be happening, but lots of illegitimate ones come to mind.
Meanwhile, we are all distracted by the other hand with tariffs, pardons, and chaos.

You mean the kind of thing us regular Feds could actually get fired over?Maybe belongs in a different thread, but I remember when protecting PII was a thing...
As to the tariffs, they won't last long if big business starts to suffer.
Don't laugh I used pennies just the other day. More because I didn't want to spend $20 driving to the store.Needed a handful of fender washers the other day, 1/4" hole by 1" diameter would do nicely. $.47 each at Ace. drilled a hole in a roll of quarters. Problem solved no more inflation, or at least cut in half...
Or getting shitty grams about every 5 minutes for not taking your IT security training for the 62nd time. You mean the kind of thing us regular Feds could actually get fired over?
Yeah…
Plenty of American maple syrup. I have a supplier in Ohio.I guess I should start rationing my maple syrup, but just couldn’t resist this morningView attachment 359322.
Like every other war we’ve fought since 1946.We lost the war on drugs but won’t admit it nor change tactics.
The tactic is to see if he can get Canada and Mexico to engage in stopping the flow of illegal drugs and human trafficking. You can decide if it is at emergency levels. He knows he can do only so much to stop it from one side of the border.
Trump wants action not debate from the two. He is doing it to get them acting. It will play out within 30 days.
Or the whole purchase card holder process.Or getting shitty grams about every 5 minutes for not taking your IT security training for the 62nd time.
Well, that training is complete F'ing joke now.
Yeah, that's another good one.Or the whole purchase card holder process.
