The Hank Jr “Strong Stuff” album is no longer on Spotify right now for whatever reason and it was on there last year so I can’t listen to that song in my truck at the moment,I’m pissed about that.

I just YouTube it through the aux cord. I'm too cheap to pay for subscription services. I do have a copy on vinyl as well though. Mainly because the album cover is awesome.

Cool summit. I climbed it in the mid nineties from the East side. You know you are up there when all the goats are way beneath you. Had a Goshawk nearly claim my scalp, and saw a whopper muledeer buck above treeline. Long day off trail.

I’m planning on climbing it again this summer with my youngest son who lives south of Harlowton. Last time we went from the east side. Probably go that way again.

Think I went up the South East ridge from Big Timber Canyon. Crossed a few fences to get there.

How far did you have to carry the dog?

She made it most of the way without help. It's actually a pretty simple scramble to the top with a lot of vertical. If I remember correctly, about 7,000 feet of vertical.

I worked in Big Timber in the early 90s and at that time there were a group of people that climbed Crazy Peak on new years day every/most years. As I recall they were getting a higher start by going through private. That end of the Crazies stays amazingly snow free many years.
