Sunday Pic of the Day

Nice snow.
Bother you the hammer and nipple are packed with snow?😏
It snowed 6 inches on me that morning. I cleaned it half a dozen times and changed the cap twice. I have no idea if it would fire. I took the scoped rifle today.

So it does bother me but I haven't been burned by it yet. I was 100 yards from the truck on the way out when I took the picture. Is there a way to keep the snow out in those conditions?

Comment in jest. Not really much to do.
Kinda looked like maybe you took a digger, and resorted to using the BP as a walking staff.

The wildlife effigies in each of my boy’s rooms. Mallard curls, pheasant tail feathers, prairie chicken tail feathers, but I don’t know why we haven’t added turkey feathers to these yet. They’ve got mason jars full of misc feathers, and turkey fans in their rooms too, but I need to change that.
We like looking at the shadows when we’re getting ready for bed.

It may not be Sunday but it sure felt like it. Wife has wanted to turn the stairwell into a gallery wall for a long time and it ended up being a pretty fun day. Her rule was always no animals upstairs but somehow I snuck a few into her gallery wall, and a couple of them might have even been her idea. Need to buy a couple frames for a few of the things but pretty much done.

Few days sleeping in the pickup. Couple days hunting and couple days photographing.

How longs that kicker off the left side? It’s like a rebel eye guard
That side is a 14” spike, I like the little elk eye guard. It’s just a couple inches. The area I had permission to hunt gets pounded by hunters so I wasn’t passing up much. Just thankful to get in some bonus hunting time.

Last hour of his last day.

I managed to call in this buck on what's been my brother and I's hardest whitetail hunt to date. Watching my little brother's pure excitement and genuine happiness when I rattle in a buck for him absolutely fills me with joy.

I look forward to hunting whitetails with him year round and cherish every opportunity I have to share my passion with him. Even at -25C in three feet of snow!
