Not the can shot I had in my mind, but at least got a few shots.

Grand daughter is a highschool freshman. Made it to the state championships over in Eugene. Finished 4th in the 4x400 and she is just learning how to run and compete.
My oldest son and daughter ran at the original Heyward field back in 2010-2011

My sons 4x100 team broke the state record twice the weekend he ran , in their qualifying round then they broke that the next day in the finals , in the 4A division, I believe it still stands , those kids were some thoroughbreds , I believe that year they ran faster than the 5A state championship team and was like 4th or 5th fastest time out of the 6A schools in largest division in the state a weekend I’ll never ever forget

On the way to take a newby turkey hunter we stopped and captured the early moments of sunrise

Sadly, the pullover was necessary as the doe stepped out in front, and we couldn’t avoid the hit.

Hood, front grill, and drivers side quarter panel mangled. Passenger side light complex shattered and torn. 100+ miles from home. Coolant leaking from somewhere. First time turkey hunt will have to wait for another day.
Things can be repaired. People, not so much. At least you are okay.

My sons wedding to Leta. Reception at River Farm on the Potomac. The farm was part of George Washington estate.

Wife and I and the dogs headed back to the truck this morning. No bears, no sheds, no Turkeys, a few shrooms and then this guy and his girls walked out of the trees. Considered several options but decided to just let him move off. Tough life he’s got.

Just like that my boy's high school sports playing days are over.
4 year varsity starter, 3 at SS and one at 2nd base. 2 time all-conferance, 10-5 record as a pitcher, 3 saves and an ERA of 3.30. A 400 career average in conference games and 315 overall average. Playing basketball year round he never put anytime into baseball till the season started. He struggled every year, the first 4 or 5 games, then picked it up as the season progressed.
