Cool photo. I have read a few of his books.

I have bad memories about packing out an elk with a packboard identical to the one he is wearing — 2ish” webbing shoulder straps and no real waist belt. All the load was on my shoulders.

My wife and I were walking an old road with the dog last January. My wife liked this stretch and took a few pictures to possibly paint later. At this point Toco was acting like she saw something but we didn’t see a thing. Later my wife was looking back through her pictures and several had this green orb moving through the forest…
