Nephew #2 is competing at the AAU national track meet this weekend in Eugene. Came in #11 of 49 in discuss, and was the top 11 year old in the country.

Told me the highlight was throwing a PR in shot put in the same ring that the current world record holder used for his record.

My buddy bought it for him for his first birthday. Shooting the rifle with me today for an upcoming hunt, I felt today was the right day. Gonna have to send that thing off to @p_ham for a trigger job poor kid I had to help him I think the pull was about 35lbs!

Finally a cooler morning here, had 62 degrees.
A daily regular here with her fawn, this morning she was acting distraught, walking around, standing around, never did see her fawn this morning...bummer

9 miles and change today in the Elkhorns. Elevations started at 7000 got up to 9000. Looking for goats, only saw one. She’ll be 65 next month, still gets around pretty well.
