Beautiful day! Called in a turkey for my brother, saw an incredible carpet of little wildflowers in the woods and a great Mother's Day celebration.

The barn at the old farm house I lived in during college. House was beat to hell. Mice problems, drafty windows, zero insulation, but lots of fun. Wouldn’t trade those years.

Met up with a dear friend last week and spent a few days taking an old Dutch barge converted into a “penichette” around a small chunk of France’s canal system. Navigated a good many locks, crossed an aqueduct across the Loire, drank more than plenty, ate a ton of rich food, and generally had a grand old time. All at the blistering speed of about 8 knots/hr.
