That he does! He’s my official black friend Charles—a great guy and a helluva shot. 71 years old, gets an elk every year and can out backpack most 30 year olds. Has a wife 25 years younger than him. A complete stud!

Got one born April 28th the middle of our Turkey season and one on October 19th prime deer and elk time. This one will probably be born during the middle of the rut.

Oct 10th was my first born, clearly I was thinking with...you get it.

That cold front that dropped in from the north , left western Oregon with a warm winter blanket to snuggle up in this morning

These 2 deer spend so much time on my parents property they are very comfortable with us as long as we keep around a ten yard distance

Left the house at 7 a.m. for a five hour drive to visit the in-laws with a few snowflakes drifting down. When we hit the interstate visibility was @100 feet and traffic was going 35 mph.

After about 15 miles I made the executive decision that no family dinner was worth risking eight lives to drive 300 miles in single digit temps with blizzard conditions. When we made it home @ 8:30 we already had 4-5” of accumulated snow.

Football and leftovers from the Christmas ham sounds way better than being stuck in a blizzard.
