Pretty cool, I'd still be there trying to hit the golf ball...not with the rifle, with the club. The weekend saw another shooting match here at the farm and some lousy weather, wet and windy. I'm sure it was the most rain we've had in one day all year and as the rain moved in and out the wind did too, hopefully everyone still had fun.
I was scrolling down with anticipation. Your photo reminds me of some of Robert Bateman's paintings. In addition to his ability to paint photo-realistic scenes, one of the things I always admired about Bateman was that his art often depicts the way one might actually first percieve wildlife in the real world: off-center, or even blurred at the periphery of one's vision, often screened behind partially obscuring brush, trees, leaves or grass. From yet another fruitless grouse hike this morning. Always cool to see a bobcat.
