Had a fun afternoon dodging rainstorms and trolling for salmon on Lake Champlain. My younger two sons came with me and middle son brought in a great Atlantic. He was having trouble holding it, so the pic is of me. Water was only 51 degrees, so the good times should last well into May. Hope everyone else had fun today!

Went shed hunting and checked a trail cam today with the wife. she went on tree detail! She wanted to do ! lol what a good woman . Although a little later farther down the road the next tree was too big and I had to move it

The last place we went was the swamp , we have a camera in there year round , the elk and deer are thick in there , We didn’t have a bull on camera since last archery season lots of cows and spikes , and deer even a coyote, But on November 23 during the rut there was a stud blacktail buck walked in front of the Camera so I took a screenshot of it but deleted the rest here is the buck

Although there hadn’t been an actual branch bull in front of the camera in the swamp in the last 6 months , I did come across this fresh Roosevelt bull rub from the last week or so as he tried to loose an antler or antlers , It’s knee-high grass in there and so unless you actually stepped right on it there be no way to find it but I didn’t see anything but that doesn’t mean it’s still not laying down there somewhere, This Rub was only 4 or 500 yards from the camera


Heading back to the truck after our 4th outing of the day , To get in and out of the swamp you got a push through some nasty reprod which ONX is a great tool for finding your way through in this northwest thick crap ass woods
