Summer Ending

Could not ask for a better weekend to get back out on the water. I was reminded of how lucky we are to live in the last best place.

We spent all day fishing and laughing about stuff together. Never did find the walleyes but caught plenty of northerns and small mouth bass.

Reminded me that by this time next year my wife and I will be empty nester's and my built in hunting and fishing buddy will be moving on to the next chapter in his life.

Anyway it has been a great summer. Lots of time spent together and lots of laughs shared.

Soon we will be back chasing birds

I know what you are going through. I can't believe it has been over 2 years since my kids started college in Bozeman! But it isn't just their next chapter in life but yours too. My wife and I have rekindled our love now that we aren't running from sporting event to sporting event. Plus we get to see them about once a month. I do miss the times when we were all just hanging out at camp or on weekends, but we still do that just not as often.

Dang right best place to live! Looks like a good time, I had the same issue lately about not having a lot of success on walleye but man we were reeling in pike and smallmouth all day long.

Never miss a chance to spend time with them. When he turned 12 I thought we had so much time left to hunt together and we put a lot of time in chasing critters and hunting birds and fishing and it went way too fast.

Now I get the joy of having three kids in college all at the same time. I guess that is why you have them.
