Spencer's double rifle from the 1923 TV Series

I get that he made stuff for the show, just curious as to his relevance otherwise. Someone in Bozeman? A relative of yours?

Edit: scratch that, just reread your previous post. From TX. Friend of yours?
Yes a good friend from Weatherford, Texas. They have a saddle/tack and gun shop in Weatherford…

You mentioned earlier he also made the sheath for Spencer's knife. Those who have followed all three of the series (1883, 1923, and Yellowstone) remember the knife was first given to Spencer's sister, Elsa, as a gift after winning a horse race. It would be the same knife that Beth would later use to kill her brother Jamie in the Yellowstone series. But I digress.

Does Casey's shop have a website?

Grok (on X) thinks the rifle is indeed a Sabatti, as @Salmonchaser said.

My programmer friend asks it to write stuff and it spits it out instantly; impressive and a bit scary.

I thought the .416 rigby was designed to specifically offer a similar alternative to all the Nitro Express cartridges, but in a bolt rifle, therefore cheaper?
Is has a rebated rim, which would seem really problematic in a double rifle with something trying to eat you.
Yeah, I’ve never seen a double gun chambered in .416 Rigby.

Damn…..I didn’t catch that. Thanks! IMO, 1923 the best of them all. Love how it shows technology that we take for granted being introduced to modern society. I also really appreciate how Sheridan weaves in social/historical issues to ponder without beating you over the head with his take. Huge fan.
