Spartan Forge

Testing out Spartan Forge. So far I like certain aspects of it but it does seem more geared to the whitetail game which I do partake in so I like the weather, LiDAR, and historical aspects for that part. The layers don’t seem to be as extensive nor customizable as onyx but I have just been playing around with it the last week. Anyone else using it or spent time comparing it to Onyx? Thoughts? Pros and cons?

Yeah, mapping, weather forecasts and some alleged intelligent ai whitetail prediction stuff is what I’m seeing so far

I played with it a bit last year. There was quite a bit of cool info on there. I opted to stop after the trial. I already have so much data in OnX. And I don't need another subscription.

The satellite imagery was really, really good. The LiDAR was pretty neat, but it's available on the USGS site.

I played with it quite a bit. It has some cool features but nothing that made me feel like it was worth switching from OnX. The biggest hangup for me on a lot of these mapping apps is the fact that 80%+ of hunters/landowners used OnX. If I want to share some thing with them or have them send me a pin of something then I need to have OnX. It's easy to export waypoints and other data from one app to the other, but it doesn't do a ton of good if I'm the only one on the app.
