Southeastern Idaho Bear

[HONDO]

This is a bear my friend got a couple of weeks ago. He actually missed this bear standing still broadside at 180 yards. After he headed down the hill to make sure he did miss, the bear came back out. I was loading up the spotting scope and camera gear when I happened to look up and see the bear coming out of the trees it had just run into. I yelled to my friend and the bear took off up hill. He was able to get the bear as it was running up an avalanche chute. The bear almost made it to the top and over the other side. I am always amazed at how fast these animals can cover ground when they want to. The first picture is of the bear at the bait site taken by the trail cam. The second picture I took at the bottom of the avalanche chute.
