Show me your reloading setups!

For the main bench I used a countertop from Home Depots salvage bin. Good price, but that color & pattern can make finding a dropped screw or primer harder to find. It's solid and the cabinet pieces it's mounted on are handy (and full). As @cahunter805 said, it's tough to have enough shelves/storage. Also, bullets and ammo are heavy, get good strong shelves.

Very Nice. Mines small but won’t stay that way

95% complete.

Bench is made from 8/4 oak that my grandfather and I fell, sawed and dried together.

After having a thrown together plywood bench that creeped and flexed like crazy I finally built something decent and solid this year, just installed yesterday.

Interesting trimmer. Do you have to turn the handle to lock the case in the collet?

You press that lever on the left down and it opens it up and you release and it grabs the case. Its spring loaded. I do typically press the lever on the left while I am bringing in the cutter to make it center things up for me. I'm no ribbon chaser but I love it. Its very accurate for my use.

I have the same trimmer. Pretty slick and solid setup

I have the same trimmer also. My brother came up with this idea for it and it works awesome. Remove the crank handle and replace with a socket head screw/jam nut. We then use a small electric hand held screw driver and appropriate size bit to spin the screw. Makes trimming cases waaaaay easier especially when doing a bunch.

Ya cranking the handle on 400 cases sucks. Ask me how I know. lol
Heck ya it does. Get yourself setup with the little electric screwdriver. They are cheap and work well.
One like this works good as it doesn’t spin very fast and easy to control.

RCBS makes a couple of attachments for the Trim Pro 2 (I have it, love it) that allows the use of a drill. They also have a motorized unit that's pretty expensive.

I do both length trimming & inside neck trimming on mine. Great tool for the bench.

I just took the handle off and chucked a cordless drill to mine, has to be 1/2” chuck though.

I am in mid-redo of mine so no pic for a while but a few thoughts for your consideration.

  • Look into French cleats for walls (plenty of good videos on youtube)
  • Make sure your bench is rock solid. Doesn't have to be fancy or expensive, but should be solid.
  • Lighting, lighting, lighting. Great lighting will be much appreciated.
  • Plan more storage space than you think you need - kind of like buying a gun safe - you will always fill it up.
  • Simple 2x4 construction with 3/4" MDF underneath 3/4" melamine top makes a pretty sturdy and easy-to-maintain bench.
  • Watch sales at big box stores and sometimes you can grab clearance or scratch/dent tool drawer chests for a fraction of listed cost.
Been a very crazy two years, but now back at getting my reloading space done. A little progress on the french cleats was made today . . .
