Shooter lose millions of acres - where are the gun groups?

In our 4th of 5 episodes in the idea of handing Federal lands to State Land Boards, we talk about the impact on recreational shooting. Rec shooters stand to lose more than most any other group, yet not a peep from the groups claiming to represent gun owners and shooters. They can't say they don't know, as I've provided the facts to leadership levels of all those groups.

And when shooters lose, so does conservation. More than 70% of Pittman-Robertson funding comes from shooters who are not hunting. Anyhow, here's another dive into the topic of why we need to focus on improving Federal land management and reject the idea of giving those lands away.

Buzz said it well somewhere else - if these states were at least semi serious about maintaining your right to recreate on public land, they would "cut the red tape" on existing state owned lands.

Chaps me that NSSF, GOA, and the NRA arent saying anything about the potential loss of recreational shooting on public land.

Not sure - but seems like MOST nrl/long range rifle shoots would no longer even be an option.

I think his point might have been how the trash produced doesn’t do anything to garner support for shooting on our lands and might actually cause some people to see it as a good thing.
He’s right.
