I posted these pics on FB, but for those who don't follow my page I'll post them here as well. This is an awesome buck that we watched grow up from a little 2 year old (we presume) to a giant 4 year old. The leap from 2 to 3 is enormous, as it's usually the greatest leap in horn size for most bucks. This is why so many bucks "magically" appear in areas where you never saw them before. They're usually so small when they're 2 that you don't even notice them and usually don't take photos of them. I thought that I saw potential in this buck and got lucky when he turned out to grow to this size. :)

Nice one. I had one nearly that nice come slipping up a shoulder deep coulee in the Great Basin back in '74, thinking he was going to put the slip on us but when he popped up out of there at about 50 yards and saw the truck he disappeared across a quarter mile wide alkali flat in a cloud of dust. Never saw a goat run that fast. We already had our bucks in the back so we got a good laugh out of the surprised look on his face.

He looked bigger in 2013. Stud of a buck!

He was about 86 or 87 in 2013.

He's over 90 this year. Mass, length, and prong are all better this season.

One thing that might be deceiving a little bit is that his entire head and body were smaller in 2013. He wasn't a fully grown antelope until this year. Now the body growth wasn't much but I thought it was enough to at least notice a little bit between the two years.
