Exactly why loss of hunting privileges doesn't mean a thing.

Actually the threat of losing the privilege to purchase a hunting and fishing license IS a great deterrent for most people. Especially now that we have an interstate agreement with nearly all 50 states that issue reciprocal license revocations. Last I checked there were only a couple states not included in the compact. I had real tough guys sit in my truck and cry like a baby when I told them they would be losing their licenses. However, chitbags like the guy listed above will only under jail time.

Could start with confiscation of all materials related to the poaching incidents including guns, vehicles, hunting clothing, binos, rangefinders, boots etc. Jail time/ fines as well. obviously what has been tried in the past is not working.

The discussion was about serial poachers, not some dude that cut out his tag wrong.

The loss of licenses for life and the interstate pact means less than zero to the serial poachers like we're talking about in this thread.

Very doubtful he had a dad to speak of to teach him and bust his ass for doing stupid stuff.

I would bet money on an in-depth review of his life showing he is a less-than-ideal citizen in other aspects as well.

Not to me. The post could have been ignored and this thread continued on as planned, but people feed the need to defend, and then blame others for their own contribution to the spiraling down. The internet is a fascinating place.

Back to the OP. Nothing is going to fix that guy. His sense of right and wrong is nonexistent.

Perhaps Buzz, you should stay in your own lane and go count some trees or whatever you do. Maybe go do some more big game scouting on the government dime in your Joe Fed truck. I have spent days and weeks living with felony serial poachers in UC situations. But I am certain you know way more than I do about their mind- set.
